Hello there! As the cite says, I am Taylor Marks, and I'm so glad you came across my page! I am a first-year graduate student currently studying and researching at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. That's not all there is to me though:

I am originally from Lexington, South Carolina originally, got my undergraduate degree from Clemson University, and I am an avid listener of Steely Dan. Outside of the most important facts about me, I have a wonderful mutt (named Lucky), I love kayaking when I get the chance, and I do calligraphy in my spare time. 

My website is about my career, journeys as a graduate student, my research, and also interesting things I find in my scope of interest. The main "buzzwords" for my interests are Russia, Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, education, history, literature, and of course DIGITAL HISTORY! We'll get into that in my blog posts and I've done a few projects with it!

For my program at IU, I complete a thesis at the end of my degree period. My thesis work surrounds civic education through Komsomol influence in the Khrushchev Thaw, and how the Komsomol and its values affected classroom environments. I'm happy to have you join me for the process as I develop my thesis
